Handmade Puukko knife maintain the use of traditional methods and traditional materials.

The puukko is used for all manner of tasks around the forest, farm and workshop. It is a versatile knife that can be adapted to many varying tasks to suite the owners’ needs. It excels in wood carving due to the hollow grind and shape of the handle which allows full, but controlled power to be applied when carving.

The blade: 14c28n stainless steel

The handle:
I make the handle by hand, each handle is precisely and uniquely finished.
The handle of this knife has a Tamarind handle tang going through. Brass bolster Saami style carving on antler spacer.
Handle is treated with wood oil and waxed.

Sheath:
Leather sheath is wet formed to fit each knife individually. Each sheath is custom made and hand stitched using Butt stitch and waxed linen thread. Each knife sheath is individually dyed with water based dyes. Is custom made for this knife from 4 mm full grain cow hide, British tan tan finish and waterproof finish.
