These Terms and Conditions govern the use of www.hullknivesandtools.com and the purchase of products from Hull Knives and Tools.

Hull Knives and Tools is a UK-based maker and retailer of handcrafted knives, wood carving tools, bushcraft equipment and related accessories.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
- You are at least 18 years of age when purchasing any age-restricted product.
- The products you purchase are lawful to own and import in your country.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we believe these conditions are not met.
3. Product Information
As many of our products are handmade, each item is unique.
Minor variations in:
- colour
- wood grain
- natural materials
- dimensions
- finish
are normal and do not constitute defects.
Product photographs are provided for illustration only. Colours may vary depending on your screen settings.
4. Pricing
All prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website.
Prices may change without notice but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
Customers outside the UK are responsible for any import duties, customs charges, taxes or brokerage fees charged by their country.
5. Placing an Order
Submitting an order does not create a binding contract.
Your order is an offer to purchase our products.
A contract is formed only when we dispatch your order and send confirmation that it has been shipped.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for reasons including:
- pricing errors
- stock availability
- suspected fraud
- legal restrictions
- export restrictions
- inability to verify age where required
If payment has already been taken for a cancelled order, a full refund will be issued.
6. Payment
Payment must be received before goods are dispatched.
Payments are processed securely through our authorised payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details.
7. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery times published on our website are estimates only.
While we make every effort to dispatch orders promptly, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control including:
- courier delays
- customs inspections
- adverse weather
- industrial action
- public holidays
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered.
Ownership of the goods passes once full payment has been received.
8. International Orders
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are legal to import into their country.
We are not responsible for goods delayed, refused, seized or destroyed by customs or border authorities due to local laws.
Any import duties, VAT, customs charges or taxes remain the customer's responsibility.
9. Age-Restricted Products
Certain products sold on this website are subject to UK age restriction legislation.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase these products.
We reserve the right to:
- request proof of age;
- delay dispatch until age verification is completed; or
- cancel an order if satisfactory proof cannot be provided.
Deliveries may require age verification on delivery where required by law.
10. Returns and Cancellation
Consumers purchasing online have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
11. Warranty
We take pride in the quality of our products.
If a product develops a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible.
Where appropriate, we will repair, replace or refund the item in accordance with your statutory rights.
Normal wear, misuse, improper maintenance, accidental damage or modifications are not covered.
12. Safe Use of Knives and Tools
Knives and edged tools are inherently sharp and must be used responsibly.
By purchasing from Hull Knives and Tools you agree that:
- products will be used lawfully;
- products will be used safely and responsibly;
- products will be kept out of the reach of children.
Except where liability cannot legally be excluded, Hull Knives and Tools accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage arising from misuse, improper maintenance, modification or illegal use of any product supplied.
13. Intellectual Property
All photographs, product descriptions, logos, artwork and website content remain the intellectual property of Hull Knives and Tools unless otherwise stated.
No material may be copied, reproduced or used without prior written permission.
14. Privacy
Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We never sell customer information to third parties for marketing purposes.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Subject to the above, our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods supplied.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business interruption or loss of opportunity, except where prohibited by law.
16. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform our obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, fire, war, industrial disputes, transport disruption or government action.
17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on our website and will apply to orders placed after the updated version is published.
